I've been with Learfield Sports for more than seven years, including four years as GM of Hurricane Sports Properties at the University of Miami, plus the past three as Vice President in the Plano corporate office. From day one, I noticed the unbelievable teamwork and camaraderie that permeates throughout the entire company. My Learfield Sports' career began in the Plano corporate office, where I worked closely with some outstanding individuals. While I was in the Sales Analysts Department, I learned a lot about the company as a whole - more importantly about the culture and the quality of folks that are employed here. Learfield Sports not only offers you the opportunity to grow within the company but to also grow as a person through networking with hundreds of people at 50+ properties around the country. Learfield Sports was willing to take a chance on me out of college with very limited work experience. Nearly three years later, I am still very thankful. Through graduate school at the University of Missouri, I was blessed enough to have landed an internship with Mizzou Sports Properties. After 14 months, I realized I was gaining experience with a company that would be hard to beat out there in the 'real world'. Following through with that assumption, I decided to take a full-time position in the Corporate Office in Plano, TX. After a total of almost four years with the company, I think I was right. The grass does not seem to be greener on the other side. The Learfield Sports' leadership truly cares for people, and that same level of care and commitment trickles down throughout the entire company. The environment here is one of encouragement, hard work and excellence. And, as a selfish side note, it's just really fun working here. Hence the "Have Fun" portion of the Mission and Values.
